Celtica

Here is a bar of which I am tremendously very fond: Celtica, located in the centre of Brussels, on the street of the Market in Chickens. I find that this bar has a little of paces Englishwomen or Scottish, I really do not know how to determine. In day, it is in general rather calm. There is a room down, made partly by wood, very as the bar. Prices are reasonable, really. There is a second room below, wooden also, but banks on to them differ a bit, there is a kind of bar by way of table around which can become established more or less ten persons. And the weekend, in the evening, a third room opens on the second floor, it gets closer a bit of a kind of room of nightclub, where music seems to pierce us tympanums, there is also a bar there.

As regards ambience, as I have it say in day, it is rather calm, but in the evening, Celtica becomes lively and has of numerous fan, notably the weekend! Music varies the floor according to the place, or more precisely where you are. Music of instant pass rather to the second floor, in the room where have it can dance. They do not serve you at table, you must go to take your consumption, but it does not make lose its charm in the bar! La Celtica est un des premiers bars que je connaissais à Bruxelles. L'ambiance y est très sympa et internationale.
Ce qui est tout de même étonnant c'est que le bar est toujours plein, autant en semaine que le weekend. Il faut aussi dire que les prix sont vraiment très bas et des happy hours organisés.
Le weekend la Celtica se transforme en une boite de nuit qui a tout autant du succès.
A l'époque quand j'y aller la musique était plutôt bonne, beaucoup des chansons des années 80 et 90.
Par contre victime à son succès, le Celtica est tellement remplie le weekend qu'il devient difficile de bouger et même de respirer.

Voici un bar que j’affectionne énormément : le Celtica, situé dans le centre de Bruxelles, à la rue du Marché au Poulets. Je trouve que ce bar a un peu des allures Anglaises ou écossaises, je ne sais pas vraiment déterminer. En journée, c’est généralement assez calme. Il y a une pièce en bas, faite partiellement de bois, tout comme le bar. Les prix sont raisonnables, vraiment. Il y a une deuxième pièce au dessus, en bois également, mais les table sont un peu différentes, il y a une sorte de bar en guise de table autour duquel peuvent s’installer plus ou moins dix personnes. Et le week-end, en soirée, une troisième pièce s’ouvre au deuxième étage, elle se rapproche un peu d’une sorte de salle de boîte de nuit, où la musique semble nous transpercer les tympans, il y a un également un bar là-bas. En ce qui concerne l’ambiance, comme je l’ai dis en journée, c’est plutôt calme, mais le soir, le Celtica s’anime et possède de nombreux fan, notamment le week-end! La musique varie en fonction de l’endroit, ou l’étage plus précisément ou vous vous situez. Les musique du moment passent plutôt au deuxième étage, dans la salle où l’ont peut danser. On ne vous sert pas à table, vous devez aller chercher vos consommations, mais cela ne fait pas perdre au bar son charme! Peut-être vous cherchez un café bien comfortable dans le centre de Bruxelles. En ce cas, je vous conseille de pas réfléchir trop long sur ce sujet. Nous, de whatsup, ons déjà le fonction de vous recommander les endroits intéressants grâce à nos avis!

Quoi que ce soit, je dois vous informer sur ce "Irish Bar" de Celtica. on retrouve l'image Irlandais seulement dans de quelques attributs sur les murs et les bières (comme Kilkenny et Guinness). Je ne fais pas difficile sur l'ambiance en raison des gens qui visitent cet endroit (presque) chaque jour. Ils contribuent à l'ambiance par leur nombre.

A cause du grand public , on peut investir dans de grandes écran où on montre des matches de sport (Je ne suis pas sûr ou les émissions étaient sur EXQI, mais c'était sur un canal Anglophone, vu que les publicités pendant les pauses soient en anglais), bien qu'on ne puisse pas entendre les comments à cause de la musique fort (mais aussi agréable et reconnaissable).

Regrettablement, les écrans et autres extra's sont aussi le cause d'une élément négatif. Les prix sont un peu plus haut pour les bières normales (quoique c'est pas si mal comme dans le kafka) et les "Irish Pints" se goûtent très bon.

C'est donc pas un café mal. Mais pour ceux qui veulent être habituel d'un café, on doit chercher ailleurs.... en lire plus

je suis totalement d'accord avec l'analyse de Jaystyle : ce bar est un complexe zoologique, regroupant des espèces assez intéressantes à analyser en fin de nuit, début de matinée.

L'alcool ici coule à flot, et vient emplir des estomac deja pleins, donnant quelques petites catastrophes assez ... pittoresques ? (je n'ai pas le mot à la bouche...).

Le Celtica est donc un bar où on finira sa soirée trop arrosé, pas trop loin de la Grand Place, en espérant retrouvez le premier bus 71 au petit matin pour rentrer chez soit, et dormir un peu...

Mention spécial quand même à la piste de danse d'un genre assez intéressant : une piste de zombie alcoolisé tentant en vain de tenir debout.

Si vous êtes un(e) adepte des happy hour, vous devez venir prendre un verre au Celtica ! Ce bar offre un happy hour extra long et super intéressant ! Un euro la bière, ca vous tente ?
En plus du happy hour, Le Celtica est un vrai nid de culture anglo-saxonne. Tout le monde parle anglais, d’ailleurs il est inutile de parler français aux barmans.
Tous les vendredis, c’est une soirée avec musique live. Si le chanteur est sympa, il vous laissera attraper le micro pour que vous tentiez de chanter avec lui (ce qui n’est pas toujours en grand succès, d’après ma propre expérience). Tout ceci ce passe à l’étage du bas, ou l’ambiance est très rock n roll. Le soir, Il y a moins de gens qu’au dessus
La salle du dessus est beaucoup plus « commerciale ». Tout d’abord a cause de la musique, mais aussi par rapport a la population. C’est par contre beaucoup mieux qu’au nuas. On peut quand même danser sans se faire emmerder.
Les filles, je vous conseille d’aller visiter les toilettes, qui sont d’une propreté surprenante !
Attention : il faut aller au bar pour se faire servir, il n’y a pas de service aux tables.

Quand quelqu’un vous dira qu’il a terminé sa soirées au Celtica vous pouvez être sûr qu’il aura passer une soirée très arrosée et longue. En effet, le Celtica est un Pub disco Bar ouvert jusqu’au petites heures du matin le week end. Il y a régulièrement des concerts et au premier étage un DJ anime une piste de dance plutôt mitigée. Certaines personnes étant là pour s’amuser et d’autres seulement pour être debout et avoir l’air méchant et fâché pour quelconques raisons obscures. Les mecs aiment cet endroit pour y boire beaucoup à des prix raisonnables et se lâcher comme des animaux, et les filles aiment cet endroit parce qu’on peut y danser et rencontrer un animal. Celtica is one of first bars which I knew in Brussels. The atmosphere is there very nice and international.
What is surprising all the same it is that the bar is always full, as much in the week as the weekend. It is also necessary to say that the prices are really very low and organized happy hours.
The weekend Celtica is transformed into a disco at night which is successful just as much.
During the priod when I to go there the music was rather good, many of the songs of the 80s and 90.
On the other hand the bar is victim in its success, Celtica is so filled( the weekend that it becomes difficult to move and even to breathe.

Ever thought of going to a bar in Brussels, not knowing what to choose? I can understand that, due to the fact that there really are a lot of bars right here. I understand that we can only argue about the interesting and qualitative parts, but still I try giving my shot to say what I think about this one. And I can say: I can cope with it, but it's not my real favourite.

First of all, it's an Irish bar. Not that you will really remark that so much, in spite of the Guinness Neonlights and some small atributes they hang upon the walls. I can't complain much about the vibe because of the nice feeling you get by the big amount of peoble coming here (almost) every evening.

Last said is also the chance that gave the owners the opportunity to renovate and hang up several screens, on which they show sport games for most of the time (I thought it was on EXQI, but I'm not sure of that. Anyway, it was on a British channel as there was a commercial about the channel islands during the breaks and the breaks itself were in English) but I'm not convinced that many peoble watched because of
the loud music so you can't here the comments.

Unfortunately, the screens and other parts of the interior have caused a detail in F minor: The prices are a little higher for a beer and other drinks are obviously very expensive. If you’re looking for a place where there’s a party every night, you should definitely go to the Celtica. This is an Irish pub, but the on first floor it’s party time. If you don’t want to party but just sit back and relax, the café on the ground floor is very nice. Once a week there’s a live band playing for e couple of hours, and every night there’s a happy hour. The interior is cosy and the place is always crowded with people. They offer a great variety of drinks and there are some big TV screens for showing football games. At the first floors there are no chairs or tables, only loud music, disco lights and a lot of (mostly drunk) party people. The music they play is a mixture of popular house, R&B and hip hop; very dansable. Especially in the weekend the parties end very late (or should I say early in the morning?) and they always are a lot of fun.... en lire plus

If you are a fan of happy hour, you must go have a drink at the Celtica! Indeed, their happy hour lasts very long and they have appealing prices. Are you tempted by a one euro beer?

In addition to being a great happy hour bar, the Celtica is real nest of English culture. Everybody speaks English, and do not even bother speaking to the barmen in French.

Every Friday is live music night. If the singer is nice, he will let you grab the mike and attempt to sing along with him (with is not always a success, I know that from personal experience). This takes place on the ground floor, where the atmosphere is very rock'n'roll. At night, there are less people than upstairs.

The upstairs room is much more “commercial”. First of all because of the music, but also because of the population. It is however much better than at the Nua's. You can still dance without being harassed.

Girls, I strongly recommend that you check the bathrooms out, they are surprisingly clean!

Celtica is an irish bar / club situated on Rue du Marché aux Poulets in the centre of Brussels that has been around for a number of years and generated quite a reputation (good and bad) for itself over the years.

During the day if you want to enjoy a pint surrounded by English speaking folk it is not a bad place to go, although there are much much better options nearby. By night the place turns into a bit of a mad house with very drunken tourists visiting Brussels and a number of also very drunken locals from all corners of the globe who always seem to be in there.

Downstairs the bar is quite lively providing an easy atmosphere to chat to new people and a very small dance floor with a dj that plays a range of terrible pop floor fillers to some very well chosen jems for you music buffs. Upstairs is simply carnage with a seating area and a bigger crazy dance floor playing a lot of hip hop and dance music.

If you have no morals and are looking for a last resort place to get smashed until 8am then this is your place. If you have any standards at all or are a nun maybe you should find somewhere else to shake you pious ass! :-D

Dat het aantal café's in Brussel groot is? Daar valt moeilijk over te discussiëren. En het aantal interessante daarvan? Dat misschien zelfs nog meer, al is deze recensent van mening dat het er toch niet zo veel zijn. Dit geldt bijvoorbeeld voor deze, al wil dat nog niet zeggen dat ik het maar niks vind.

Ten eerste is het een "Irish Bar", een café met Ierse inslag dus. Dat aspect valt echter tegen, op enkele attributen die aan de muren hangen na. Over de sfeer heb ik geen bezwaren want het aantal mensen dat hier (bijna) elke avond komt, bezorgt zeker een gezellig gevoel.

Dat laatste zorgt er ook meteen voor dat veel kan worden geïnvesteerd in het interieur en de vormgeving. Er staan in de zaal beneden ongeveer 4 beeldschermen waar voornamelijk sportwedstrijden worden uitgezonden van EXQI (of een andere zender, er was in elk geval sprake van Britse televisie omdat er tijdens de onderbrekingen tussendoor reclame werd gemaakt voor de kanaal-eilanden en de reclame zelf in het (Brits) Engels was), al denk ik niet dat er veel mensen naar kijken omdat je het geluid toch niet hoort omwille van de luide (maar soms ook gezellige want herkenbare) muziek.

Helaas leveren die schermen en die extra's ook een nadeel op. De prijs voor een gewoon biertje begint pas bij1,80 euro en die van andere drankjes zijn vanzelfsprekend nog hoger. Het is gelukkig niet zo erg als in andere café's (zoals in Kafka, daar zal ik het dan nog wel over hebben) en de Ierse "pinten (van kilkenny en... en lire plus

Een Irish Pub op de gelijkvloerse verdieping en een danscafé op de eerste verdieping; deze combinatie kan maar één eindresultaat hebben; feest. Als je zin hebt in een rustig café avondje, dan kun je je in de Ierse pub zeker amuseren. Een gezellig interieur, altijd druk, en elke donderdagavond live muziek. Plus in de vroege avond een happyhour waardoor het ook nog eens interessant wordt voor de portemonnee. Heb je meer zin in een gezellig feestje dan moet je op de bovenverdieping zijn. De muziek hier is vooral leuk als je al een paar glaasjes op hebt; denk Sean Paul, reggaeton, Milc Inc en al die andere superpopulaire, superdansbare, maar vaak ook supervervelende muziek. Er wordt dan ook stevig gedanst elke avond. Een grote waarschuwing die we je wel moeten meegeven als je er naartoe gaat is deze; het publiek van de Celtica (het dansgedeelte) heeft nogal een flirterig imago. Een aantal van de mensen die er naartoe gaan, zou het niet erg vinden om er de man of vrouw van hun leven ( of van de avond) tegen te komen. Maar laat dit je zeker niet tegenhouden. Als je op pad bent met een groep vrienden of vriendinnen ga je je hier gegarandeerd heel goed amuseren.
